GAMEPLAY
You control a mining drill, your objective is to gather samples of the various minerals found on the planet, with the ultimate goal of extracting a piece of the planet's core. All while managing your drill's power and repairing malfunctions.
STORY
Earth is in shambles after a mysterious cosmic event which caused a massive energy drain across the planet.
Scans indicate that the core of a planet in a distant galaxy contains a unique energy source capable of generating near infinite amounts of power.
You've been sent by the government on a mission to extract chunks of the planet's core while also collecting samples of the minerals.
You'll be carrying out your mission on a StarCutter-V mining drill, it's equipped with a scanner able to detect ores and charging stations, as well as the numerous explosive gas pockets present on the planet.
CONTROLS
WASD / Arrow Keys - Movement
E / Left Click - Interact

I think this game is pretty cool. Clearly inspired by "busy-work games" like Iron Lung, but I think the gameplay loop in this one is way more fleshed out. A better thought-out story, actual threats that build up the tension and an actual world to see outside of your ship would push this game into being something special.
I think the developer is into something here. Keep working on it.
Yeah, Iron Lung was definitely a big inspiration.
